As Oracle’s Executive Director Digital Trials Strategy, David Blackman has responsibility for aligning digital strategies and innovations with Oracle’s developing business needs. Within his role in Oracle’s Health Sciences Global Businesses Unit, David is responsible for creating and developing differentiating technology and business capabilities through development, partnerships and acquisitions that enhance clinical trial research and accelerate bringing drugs to market for our clients.

Before joining Oracle in 2021, he served in the Corporate Development and Strategy group at PPD where he had responsibility for PPDs business innovation, leading and incubated cutting-edge business solutions resulting in the investment, development, integration and commercialization of digital and remote clinical trials capabilities. Prior to that David worked at IBM/Lenovo, where he held a number of global technology and business leadership roles.

Bryan Hill

Bryan Hill is Chief Technology Officer and Vice President, Digital Health & Innovation within Cognizant's Life Sciences Practice. He is responsible for shaping Cognizant’s full suite of digital capabilities and technology innovation into offerings that enable client organizations to better connect humans to their health and deliver business value. His team collaborates closely with clients and industry partners to enable transformation across the value chain in areas such as clinical development, patient engagement strategies, and digital therapeutics.

A recognized thought leader on topics such as digital trends, emerging technologies and product design, Bryan has more than 25 years of experience in software development, digital communications, marketing, user experience and management consulting. He is a founding member of Cadient, Cognizant’s digital agency focused on life sciences. Bryan recently served as an advisor to Brown University’s Executive Master in Science and Technology Leadership program.

Prior to Cadient and Cognizant, Bryan was a product development leader for cloud-based enterprise strategy management startup ActiveStrategy. His background also includes time as a digital practice leader with IQGroup, a management and IT consulting firm.

Rasmus Hogreffe

Vice President of DCT Innovation, Medable

Rasmus Hogreffe, MSc.Med., MBA is considered as a Decentralized Clinical Trial Expert. He is the VP of Decentralized Clinical Trial Innovation at Medable. Before joining Medable he was the head of Virtual Clinical Trials at LEO Innovation Lab.

His main goal is to improve treatment for patients by making trials better and faster than ever before, using digital and remote innovations.

He holds an Executive MBA and a Master in Medical Science (MSc. Medicine) and has, since 2010, been working in the healthcare industry in various positions within clinical research & development. Rasmus has extensive experience in the pharmaceutical industry and has been involved in more than 60 clinical trials, giving him a broad knowledge regarding every aspect of clinical research.

Furthermore, Rasmus is a serial entrepreneur and has a successful record of starting and selling companies within his broad scope of interests: Digitalization of clinical trials, Patient recruitment, Real World Data, and Health innovation.

In addition, as an external lecturer and supervisor at Aalborg University, Rasmus has developed and given courses and workshops on management of clinical studies on topics such as the development of recruitment and retention strategies, site-optimization, site-selection and patient engagement to sponsors, investigators and study teams at leading medical centers.

His innovative approach within the field of digital health, Patient Recruitment, and Virtual Clinical Trials make him a frequently used chairman and speaker.
